Doesn't exist!

Great questions and answers: I was thinking the same things.

The choice for me is

150PS ECONetic @ 107 g/km
180PS @ 115 g/km

The other plus with the 150 being that you get sports suspension thrown in as part of ECONetic

Could you not get the ECO version of the 180?

It does exist, in Germany anyway. Ford Ireland don't even list the regular 180PS but I know it's possible to special order one, you may be able to do something similar.

Hi obliter8.

As allthemondeos suggested, you may be able to do something similar. If you would really like

a particular spec and it's available in EU somewhere, your dealer should be able to facilitate you.

He/She may have to contact Ford HQ in GB to get an answer to your question.

My experience is, I wanted a 180 engine and 'cream' coloured leather instead of black. Both are

not presented on Irish market at the moment but an enquiry to Ford HQ, Ireland said no problem.

My dealer submitted my order as normal and then the amendments were made at HQ.

On that note I would suggest to all to check out different EU countries and see what's available

to them, You just might find that little extra to make your "baby" very special .......... and why not

they don't come cheap.

Much as I'd love to, if it ain't UK spec, I ain't getting it!  Lease car, sadly.  So: I can get the 180, but not with ECOnetic bits.

All 150 bhp engines can be done for 180 bhp like previous 140 to 163, with original ford map  B)

Of course but when you got original map set, for example 150bhp to 180bhp and your car is under warranty and when you go do a service with dealer when they do updates for PCM it will wipe of your chip, but if you got original map on it from 150 to 180 bhp, even they will do updates on car it will stay on PCM after updates ;) :D

P.S

And it may be slightly cheaper ;)

Not with a bluefin, you remove it before the car is serviced then upload it back again afterwards...

Are you sure don't need to be redone? If dealer upgrade PCM they will update map, so new map should be done again because in new one could be done some improvements etc. In worse case you will flash old map, where with original map you will get all updates and they won't remove the map plus all improvements from dealer will go whit it.

There is always going to be positives and negatives to everything, if it worries you that much then get a tuning box http://www.diesel-pe...2.0-tdci-150-ps but you won't get as much increase. Or you can leave the remap in place and take a risk, ford never discovered the one on my Mondeo and PCM upgrades didn't seem to wipe it...
