As with all innovative technology products, SYNC has evolved since its introduction. There are three versions of SYNC available, depending on your vehicle’s model and year:

1) SYNC (basic system and SYNC with MyFord)

Basic SYNC
SYNC has a center display that shows basic information, such as caller ID, song titles, a digital clock, and temperature. In vehicles equipped with SYNC with MyFord, the center display is a 4.2-inch LCD screen.

  • Hands-free calling
  • Voice control of your media player
  • SYNC AppLink™ (if available)
  • 4.2-inch color cluster display (only on vehicles equipped with SYNC with MyFord)

2) SYNC with Voice-Activated Navigation

SYNC with Voice Activated Navigation
SYNC with Voice-Activated Navigation has a color navigation screen in the center console that displays 3D maps and landmark icons.

  • Includes the same features as the basic system, plus the following:

    • Voice-Activated Navigation
    • Color navigation screen
    • DVD capability (watch DVDs on the center display)
    • 10GB jukebox (room for about 2,400 songs)
    • HD Radio

3) SYNC with MyFord Touch

MyFord Touch
SYNC with MyFord Touch has an interactive 8-inch color touchscreen in the center console.

  • 8-inch color touchscreen
  • One or two 4.2-inch LCD displays in the instrument cluster
  • Media hub with two USB ports, SD card reader, and A/V input jacks
  • Mobile Wi-Fi® hotspot48
  • Five-way controls on the steering wheel

Hi everyone I'm new to this site. I have a 60 plate mondeo titanium x sport. I have voice control and recently got the bluetooth usb upgrade so I can play music from iPhone to radio without the horrible headphone part. all works well I do however get a cracking and popping on the bluetooth. usb is perfect. is there an upgrade for this unit. it came out of a late fiesta, not sure of age but newer than my car. I have convres+ and on usb it will show track name etc on dash and head unit. but nothing when playing via bluetooth, this is only shown on the head unit.i can control all systems from the steering wheel which is great. any info or if anyone has done this and upgraded from the software on the unit can they get in touch cheers

I can't help you with the spec you have but you do not have the actual SYNC system.
On the Mondeo SYNC was not fitted until the introduction of the Mk5 Mondeo.
You should find answers to your questions in the In Car Entertainment section for the MK4 mondeo

You will have sync1 or sync2.
I think if you go into "settings" then "about sync", that will tell you which one you have
