To check if you've got the latest version of Ford SYNC, you'll need to register on the official Ford SYNC website. Once you've done so, you'll be notified if further updates are released:

Not accepting my vin either

State blue MK3 Mondeo LX - still as factory spec RIP
State blue MK3 Mondeo Mistral
Moondust Silver MK7 Fiesta Style+ 

so far: new drivebelt, new AC compressor, new speakers in the rear, new zetec alloys, private plates

to do: new bumper and foglights, usb jack, shorten ariel, debadge, get to bottom of 'issues', add footwell/ambient lighting,

Only for VIN "must belong to a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury vehicle, consist only of 17 numbers and letters, and cannot include spaces or symbols".

Maybe not the issue here, but remember a VIN number cannot contain the letters O or I.

Whenever it looks like this it will be numbers 0 and 1.

I have made this mistake myself in the past because my VIN number begins WF0K, and i used to think the third character was a letter. :dang:

It amazes me how many people think the past tense of "buy is "brought"

I though that it was obviously for Ford owners in the US, or maybe Canada too...
