2003 when I decided that my mk1 v6 was in need of a meetup. Back in the meg days. Wasn't an area rep but got the first Kent Essex meet going. The south east grew and I bought my mk2. Became a Kent rep then after doing one of the biggest meets meg ever saw in the south east and getting a 4 page spread in performance ford I became head rep. Mondeomania 4 years running with convoys if up to 40 cars from all areas. Ellie may charity run. Magazine shoots and bespoke parts ordered the south east imploded and I passed the reps title over. Became a back seat to the reps but carried on helping out people with advise and working on parts. Bought the tdci zs and then got my wife into the site and the world of mondeos. Got the mk4 and still here now . Ain't going away either lol. Made some bloody good friends from here that will stay with me forever.
So to answer the question how did I find it? Typed Mondeo into google.

Bought a MK1 Mondeo in 2002 and googled a site to ask about a few problems I was having with it, found the Mondeo enthusiasts group (which turned into Talkford) and been here ever since

I joined MEG in Feb 2007, but had been looking at the site for at least a year before that to get advice and tips.
It was easier to be a megger than a TF'er as 'megger' is a proper word lol
When I started adding ST parts to my car I joined STdriveRS as well, and spend a fair bit of time in there too.
I have met members from both sites, and have encountered some really nice people

I CAN ONLY TELL YOU how I have found things. I have met some top people

I have been given free stuff, and have given others things. When someone had their tools stolen I sent them all my spare tools to help them out. I have been given loads of advice on jobs which I could have never done without help. I will argue with anyone (I love banter and a good row) but would help anyone I argue with in any way I could.
You may find things differently, but I just wanted to clarify again that I'm happy here

One of the problems you will always have is the how to do the following question. Having been on here for some time, most members forget to user the search function or even look at the wiki as that give answers to most questions ask. So you will have some which help, & some who don't !
It's the members that make the site/club. If people get " daft or stupid answers to questions " they don't come back, unless it's on the banter section, which is the fun area/wind up.
We have members that have done most of the mods you can do to there cars but some that just come to find out about the problems they are having it's the way people are and what they want from the site. We are very lucky that all of the information is free, most sites charge for such.
This site is still growing up from just being just one model site to multi model, we will learn from the growing pains but it will be one of the best sites going for news, information & how to's right down to the funnies we have from time to time, so we are growing up as we go.

It's amusing that you speak with such authority yet have only been registered a few months! There's nothing wrong with the members on here, the vast majority are well behaved and adult like in their postings, the fact that we have to carry out very little moderation is testament to that.
