It's possible but it's a bad idea to guess. My 2007 is fitted with a belt, if you have the lynx engine there is no reason I can think they would differ but Amy reputable garage could order it, find its the wrong one and get the right one and you would only be billed for the parts used.

We had a customer come in, suspected timing jumped. Ford and autodata told us it was a chain and upper belt. Turned out crank to fuel pump was a wet belt behind the oil pump cover which had all its teeth stripped. It had belt change just 20k miles before so obviously somebody got it wrong there and didn't change both.

£2k rebuild jobby.- and that was the 8valve
