Hi again everyone
new week new problems
ive been slowly cutting away the rust (not that there is that much)
the front wings
drivers inner wing
the rear arches
and some really bad bodged patch work welding on the sils and boot floor pan.
i have all the replacment pannels but i cant find a boot floor pan.
ive tried ebay and lots of auto factor suppliers no luck
has anyone replaced there boot pan if so how
or any ideas to how to make one

i will be posting phots of the project so far if i work out how to do that too

Mondeo mk3 18lx face lift
ghia x wood trim, black eye headlight, black eye fog lights, zetec alloyscolour coded chrome door handles,crome window stripe, st spoilers rear electric windows, ghia x wing mirrors. heated front seats are next on the list and so much more to come
Streetka totaly standard. just a new rear window
Fiesta mk2 1.1ghia total rebuild from the floor up. lots to do

i don't think they are available anymore (or were they ever available?) but if you want a boot panel with wheel well in it, maybe you could get a slightly larger one from a different car and chop it down to suit? it'd be easier to cut one from something than to start from a flat bit of plate, as the wells are pressed in, and to hammer a big well into plate could prove a challenge... lol :L

i did think of a donner part but the floor is flat and and dosnt have a wheel well
i may have to cut down an old bonnet

an old bonnet will be good...

i also forgot there was no well in the mk2, its been a few years since B26 GNT the xr2 i had... lol

i don't envy you welding it up, welding thin stuff can be difficult, if mig welding, the thinner wire is better (0.6mm) with gas, than the thicker stuff (cored/gasless 0.8-0.9mm) without gas imo.

i usually end up doing cars at work with 1mm wire, on occasion i've compared it to knitting, with cheese... lol
