When my headlights are on there is a constant whirring from the offside headlight adjusting motor. The whirring noise changes slightly when I adjust the headlight levelling control but it doesn't stop. Any suggestions apart from replacing the unit?

Thanks

pop the switch out and disconnect it that should temporarily disable it. sounds like an electrical fault somewhere along the line...

I got this problem also. I've not investigated it fully but when I lower and raise the beem it doesnt move on the side that's werlling.y guess is the gears in the motor are not catching properly. I'm going to take mine apart and see if it's worn or just loose. I think you should do the same.
I have a 2001 fiesta btw.
