am gonna do this cos my rear wash wipe doesnt spray anything out

Had the same problem with my rear washer found out it was leaking at a joint half way along the the drivers side under the roof lining, to check this is not your problem open both driver and passenger doors then whilst pressing the washers watch out for water dripping from the roof area and down near the door pillars !!!!!!! could be this is your problem??

Got a MK2 and had no washer water coming out of the jets, so, did the whole "take out the wash container and filter and washed it" (took about 2 hours and its freezing outside!),only to find it still didn't work. However, I noticed the black elbow tube was all gunked up as well so cleaned this too, now the washer streams jets of water right over the car and I need to move the holes with a pin. Have to wait til tomorrow, its getting dark!
Many thanx to all for your detailed help on here.

another thing that happened to me recently was that i lost power, even though i know the lines and filter were clear.

so i went to route out the problem.

turns out it was the length of black pipe between washer jets, attached onto the underside of the bonnet - it had a very long hairline crack that was jetting water out all over the back of my engine.

all i could think of was that the water froze and expanded.

be careful at the scrappie, these pipes are brittle as.

I did a little youtube for this one a while back. No ramps needed just 30/40 mins of your time to fix. Simples.
