Ford has appointed Dan Jones as chief product press officer with key responsibility for Ford’s growing SUV line-up, including the new and enhanced Ford EcoSport compact SUV, Ford Kuga and all-new Ford Edge.
“After an intense 15 months in Ford of Europe leading strategic product launch communications for Mondeo, S-MAX, Galaxy and Mustang, it is brilliant to return to the UK, Ford’s biggest European market, to lead our new SUV product charge,” said Dan.
Dan assumes the role from Charlotte Ward who becomes news and social media manager, Ford of Britain, taking over from Emma Bergg, who has joined Ford’s European communications team as product manager. Among responsibilities for plant news Charlotte will also promote the National Women in Engineering initiative and Ford’s Driving Skills for Life campaign.
“It is an exciting time to be concentrating on Ford’s news and story-telling right now as we progressively build up our London urban mobility projects, such as GoDrive, and of course this year’s DSFL event which takes place in November,” said Charlotte.
The changes to the Ford of Britain press office come as the company continues to grow market share ahead of a renewed product launch phase that will see 10 new Ford vehicles introduced to UK customers in the next 18 months.
