Right! To get the auto folding/unfolding feature in your car, this is the parts that you might want to look at:
What you need is the following new door control modules:
- Front left: Ford finis number 1706790 (module series number: 9g9t-14b533-ec)
- Front right: Ford finis number 1706798 (module series number: 9g9t-14b533-kc)
- Rear left: Ford finis number 1679874 (module series number: 9g9t-14b53-cc)
- Rear right: Ford finis number 1679874 (module series number: 9g9t-14b534-cc)
If you must change the modules in all four doors - well - some say you must some say you do not! It all depends on what type/version of modules you allready has in your car (front/rear).

Happy hunting :driving:

yorklad23 just changed his drivers side at first and they both (mostly) worked. That's where ill start!

Right well I phoned my local Ford garage and this is what I got:

- Front left: Ford finis number 1706790 (module series number: 9g9t-14b533-ec) £73.81
- Front right: Ford finis number 1706798 (module series number: 9g9t-14b533-kc) £74.20

The next to have the same finis number is this right? The block at parts said that finis number is a 'Wire Accesory for the Fuel Sender' and its £11.71
- Rear left: Ford finis number 1679874 (module series number: 9g9t-14b53-cc) £11.71
- Rear right: Ford finis number 1679874 (module series number: 9g9t-14b534-cc) £11.71

So I think ill try scrap yards first at that price :)

Prices is not that far off! I asked Ford Parts UK on the same prices, and they gave me this:
- Part Number: 1706790(9G9T-14B533-EC)(QTY1) Retail Price: £61.51 You Pay: £52.28
- Part Number: 1706798(9G9T-14B533-KC)(QTY1) Retail Price: £61.83 You Pay: £52.56

For the rear doors it is a bit more pricy:
- Part Number: 1689874(9G9T-14B534-CC)(QTY2) Retail Price: £41.76each You Pay: £35.50each

So total price i well high for this feature if you go for the door control module :smoking:

This got me thinking...

Is it the same both on LHD and RHD cars?
Left module in left door either way?

And also, is it in these the sensors for the key fob is?
- I mean, could this also make it possible to retrofit keyless entry for those of us that has keyless start, but not keyless entry?
Need IDS in eastern Norway? - contact me through pm.

This is a whole new game to fit keyless entry as it requires reciever/antenea in each front door and boot location plus new handles
LEDs, whats your Watts.

Hi,

Before my Ford Mondeo,I had an Opel Vectra 2006 model,in wich I could to a lot of settings using the key and the buttons in the car, some like a cod.For example i could make the doors to be lock first time when you push the brake and I cannot remember, but were lot more things you can do.Maybe there is the same system on the Mondeo?

Hi guys, just a little confused - so to get the mirrors folding on lock/unlock you need to buy more than one module?

Only asking as bailes1992 has posted on the car diaries forum that he changed one module in his mk4 1.8 tit x and he now has the feature we're all after.

Ive messaged him for clarification of what he actually did though.

Ford Mondeo MK4 Titanium X:
- Thunder Grey
- 18" Alloys
- Adaptive Front Headlights
- Spoiler
- LED Puddle, number plate, and interior lights (thanks Phil!)
