It was only last week I was thinking the steering was not as it used to be, checked all tyre pressures, fluid etc etc, so I am guessing this is another thing on the list to be done.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you send the wall across the field once you've hit it.

Mine is notchy from centre only. Its like a pressure point once passed it moves freely could this be the cause too? The garage I've taken it to today says its the rack.......£324!!

My 2001 V6 is the same.
Could it just need greasing?
